Default Vasculitis

Hi, I was wondering if anyone have had one of their yorkies diagnosed with vasculitis brought on by their normal yearly injections.

Chloe had her yearly shots done back in the later part of January and just this last week we noticed she had these little pimple looking bumps in both of her ears (one ear had two bumps and the second ear has three) the next day they started to look crusty. She also didn't want to eat like normal and her little hind leg seemed kind of stiff, we immediately called the vet and made an appointment and they looked her over and and did some tests and they said she had vasculitis brought on by her injections and gave her a steroid and antibiotic injection and told us to apply some ointment to her ears for the next week.

She doesn't itch but her ears look red and crusty, and we just wanted to know if anyone else has had this happen before. and what to expect the vet said since she is not a dog that visits the dog parks that she should not have her regular injections, and only receive her rabies shots from now on.

But in my research I read that Vasculitis is a allergic reaction to the rabies shots, Now I am confused I only want what is best for my Chloe!

Chloe is three years old in April and has never had a reaction to injections before.

Thanks
Nikki
