If this aggression is out of nowhere a vet check is certainly in order.
How old is Tucker? Is he fixed?
Also- leaving him in the crate for long periods of time could make the problem worse. Getting him out for long walks and play times and chances to get really tired will work better at curbing aggression then spending long periods in a crate.
