Nini is a Yorkie/Maltese mix too and looks so much like your babies
I love her hair long, but she does get very flushed in the summer. So, I have to keep it shorter than I like. Weird, she gets 'blonder' in the summer
Nicky (the Biewer) gets matted a lot, even in his tail and he looks tired with long face hair. I think my babies know when they look nice, they walk taller

I'm still trying to find a groomer that will do what I want and not what she thinks is a better look for my babies
