I do not really think that an 11 pound dog is too large to fly in the cabin with you. Cooper (10lbs) and I took a 2 hour flight very successfully last year. I used a medium sized Sherpa bag which he fit nicely in. The bag in a little higher than the space in the seat in front of us, but it squishes down perfectly to fit. Cooper laid down the entire time and was able to turn in the carrier.

Mary-Alice, the owner of Dog Jaunt : Traveling with a small dog has a 13lb Cavalier KC Cocker Spaniel who travels everywhere with her. If it weren't for her, Cooper and I would never have been able to travel. I struggled with information.

What airline are you taking, or have you not decided?
