I still don't like ever leaving mine in the car-so I plan when and where we do outings if they go with me, so they can go in places with me (stinking Target won't let dogs in anymore and the mall it's touch and go these days).

We had such a big media ordeal over a car being stolen from all places the court house's parking lot and the officer had his Yorkie mix in it...

Poor Princess Monster gets car sick so we don't take her out like that unless it's absolutely needed, Scoobers stays home to guard her LOL, Elvis is epileptic so I either leave him in his own area or take him with when I can and I double check, lock, and turn off everything but the TV before leaving home...but once the fire department let Scoobers out when my uncle was visiting our house, so all you can do is be responsible, aware, cautious, and hope for the best.
