Neutering can help, but I have a 4 y.o. pomeranian male who was snipped when he was 10 months. He still humps Boobie, our German SHepherd mix female (spayed)...it's his allegiance to her that makes him do it on occasion. Not often, but he will hump her neck once in a while and we have to tell him "NO!". Just thought I would throw it out there...apparently these little humpers never quite lose all of their gusto.
