Hello everyone! I'm new to this forum and I'm also a new Yorkie owner. Today begins day #3 that I've had Dolce. So far I love having her around, but it's been a big adjustment, too. She's only spent two nights with me, and although I know she's adjusting from being away from her mom and siblings, she has cried ALL night both nights. I am not using an actual crate, but I'm using a little pen...the same one the breeder uses with her Yorkies. It's big enough for her bed, puppy pads, and her food/water. Oh, and a few toys, of course. I have a teddy bear that plays heartbeat noises, and last night I tried leaving a radio on to see if that helps. I guess what I'm looking for are some tips/tricks from Yorkie owners on things that can help her not feel scared/lonely at night, especially during the first couple of weeks. I didn't get her out of her pen when she cried, so I'm trying to stay strong about that. She also cried yesterday when I put her in her pen so I could take a shower without having to worry about her.
Thanks in advance for any advice! Please keep in mind that not only is this my first Yorkie, it's my first puppy in general.
