I know nearly everyone thinks it's important to go to the breeder's house to buy a puppy, but every time I read something like this I can't help but think how easy it would be to set up a breeder and steal their dogs, thus I always caution those that sell puppies to use caution when showing their pups. I think I'm too paranoid about all this, but I could see where someone could ask to see a puppy, come into someone's home, sit and make all nice conversation, find out that maybe they work during the day/what their routine is/whatever...and then tell the breeder they'll think about the puppy and then break in and steal the puppies and their parents. Just seems people are so rotten --- even desperate due to the sad state of the economy --- these days anything is possible. Makes one want to check their ID's before letting them in. |
That would be stressful, I don't know if I would be able to be a breeder, knowing that someone would try to come back and steal the puppies and it's not like it doesn't happen.
