At 17 weeks, she's still a bit young to go through the full night without peeing (she's close, though). How big is her night crate? It should be big enough for them to turn around and stretch a bit, but not so big that she can retreat to a corner to pee and then go sit somewhere else.

Do you use piddle pads on the kitchen floor? If so, you can transition her to the grass by putting a pad down out there. Gradually make the pad smaller until she's going on just the grass. (oops, just went back and read that you put the pad out there...)

Oh, forgot to mention that you want to make sure that you are cleaning the crate really well to get rid of the smell. I love Nature's Miracle for cleaning (I buy that stuff by the gallon!)
