OK, I haven't heard of RC or Eukanuba having a problem with making dogs sick (like Nutro dog foods), so I just wondered if it could be that or a food sensitivity / sensitive digestive tract issue.

You wouldn't think it would be that difficult to find a good food, would you? It gets to where you have to second guess every ingredient.

I would get the vet to run allergy tests, and if they can't do it, get a referral to a specialist at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists. (I notice you are in the Houston area, so am I). Then you will know what direction to go in to address the itching.

Keep in mind that if it is food related, you can control that by eliminated the food from her diet, but it can take up to a month even after you stop giving them that ingredient to work the allergen out of their system. If it's environmental, there isn't much you can do to avoid things like pollen, but at least you'll know to go the medication route and that you're doing the right thing.
