It is three days in many shelters here in Texas. What people do not really understand is the vast numbers of pups that are ending up in shelters on a daily basis. There simply is not enough room for them.
I don't like the number of days either, but I also know that irresponsible pet ownership is a huge problem in this country...as well as indiscriminate breeding.
