This book:
The Art of Raising A Puppy by The Monks of New Skete, talks about the important of the human/canine bond at a young age and emphasizes the need of puppies to receive alot of individual care & behavior traing as you mentioned. Different perspective than you many find on this forum. I highly recommend it and the other Monks of New Skete dog books
