Default No groomer while herniated disk on the mend

Need some help and convincing.
Zipp's herniated disk is healing nicely. Got him off the predisone so his bladder and kidneys should be back to normal in a couple of days. He is walking around much better and not in pain, that I would have heard while home. I asked/told our vet and he definitely said no grooming and to let his back/disk heal for at least another week but that is not holding water with DW who wants to get him groomed Mon so she can have pics taken of the pups. Zipp is a "big time' squirmer and I do not want him to re injure his back/disk by twisting around on the groomer's table.
Need lots responses tks.

From a response to another thread - Spinal Injury

The "bed" rest and NSAIDs (predisone sp?) worked well for old Zipp. His has a herniated disk according to the Vet and the xrays. Just be careful with the NSAIDs as some of them (predisone) can affect their bladder/kidneys etc while they are on the meds. Old Zipp is getting his zip back, walking much better.
