I'd be concerned about anything that could be icky from anyone else prior when moving someone new...worm eggs in grass waiting to infect my dogs, children and myself, fleas, bed bugs...I'm all parasite and diese paranoid, and I'd have a professional steam cleaning, painting, and pest control come in prior to actually moving in anywhere. Parvo than lingers on cement etc too the out door stuff is harder to clean up...of course I'd be concerned for what made the Chi look ill too.
