I don't know where in Alabama you are but I would run as fast as I could from that "nut"!! I agree ... that type punishment is abuse!! Are you near Ashland? Our vet in Alabama is there [specializes in this breed] and she has patients who drive from Atlanta to use her!
There are several methods of training to use other than what that vet said!
