I prefer the soft sided kennels. I like that I can easily pick them up and move them around if needed. I know some dogs will chew their way out of them though. Mine are very good about going in quietly if needed and not causing a fuss, so I have a super cheapo one from bed, bath, and beyond and have never had an issue with it.
