Several years ago when I had a problem with a RCA DVD player I bought and wasn't getting any satisfaction with their warranty division. I sent a letter to the head of Thomson Electronics in France citing my dissatisfaction and saying I would never buy another RCA player. I was soon contacted by the head of Thomson Electronics in the USA asking me what they could do to put things right. I ended up getting a brand new upgraded DVD player at no cost to me
