We went to the vet to get Bentley's exam for his delta evaluations. While there I mentioned that as of late he had been really licking his feet and there was some crusty stuff on his nail beds. She decided to skin scrape due to a past history with demodex and sure enough. The little boogers are back...or they never really left the first time. Last time we did promeris for three months. This time it's a daily low dose of ivermectin for a month and then go from there. He goes back in a week to see where we are at. I hope his tummy can stand all these nasty chemicals inside him. This is simply an awful thing to deal with and I curse his previous owners for not taking enough care of him to ever let his immune system come down enough to get these mites. Pray that this vet will get rid of them for GOOD.
