Yes, haven't you ever heard of the use of cadaver dogs? Personally, I find it very gross (to say the least) to bring used hospital pads into my home for use by myself or my pets.

Furthermore, IMO hospitals and nursing homes are full of sick people that is their buisines. Some things NEVER come out in the wash. I've seen things that would make you do this~
