Do you know how to check for dehydration?
Wet food can help, but she also will likely not want to drink anything if given wet. If she is drinking almost nothing now, then yes, it is very good.
The excess fluids can collect in the chest area and sit there for awhile. Feel any bulges down in that area (heart area)? They should be used up by now, so she could dehydrate again.
