If your vet hasn't said anything then he probably doesn't need it. & it sounds about the same. my breeder was talking about something 3x that wasn't shots (she's korean and i partially understand korean and i got her in korea :P)
I asked my vet when I first took coco in what does she need and when and he said we should pluck her ear hair cuz it could cause future problem (in terms of keeping clean) & the preventative and her final puppy shots (in korea u need 5 sets & rabies) this saturday.
So I would ask your vet what your baby needs next
