I don't know if there's a benefit, per say.
The only reason I do it is mainly cost and convenience. I am back and forth houses alot with Jackson and it's a pain to bring the raw, put it in the freezer, thaw it out, etc, when you're in someone else's home. So kibble is just very handy and easy. Also, cost... Jackson is 16lbs so he'd need a lot more pre-made raw than a 5lb dog. It gets very pricey.
