Good points. Although I just loved Madrid, that's where I felt the least welcome and where people seemed more gruff to others. It's a more abrupt style with strangers or something. It may just be they're direct...and that's cool. I would go back there in a second - so I don't mean I have anything against the area or it's inhabitants.

By far, the most beautiful people I've come across are in Amsterdam - just gracious, welcoming, polite, helpful, engaging, open. LOVED.

Right behind Amsterdam would be Denmark - again, just super open, conscientious, lovely people.
