I also have a polly and she was a baby coming out during the day. I don't thinks she knew any better. She loved the cat food i put out for the wild cats. Anyways when the yorkies got out with her she would curl up and play dead like they do. Then when I brought them in she would wait a few minutes and go on her way. This went on all winter. Have not seen her for awhile now so maybe she has figured out she is suppose to be out at nights. She never was aggressive towards the dogs. So I left her alone. She lived under the deck all winter
