Hi Shanna

You should NEVER use human shampoo on a yorkie,not even baby shampoo.The reason is that our PH is different to that of a dogs and even baby shampoo can dry out their skin and cause dryness,hair loss,scratching and rashes.It may sound silly because alot of people use baby shampoo thinking that it wont hurt,but it does dry out their skin and beleive it or not,it is harsh.Its best to use a proper doggy shampoo which has the perfect PH for a dog,it doesnt have to be expensive,but at least it wont dry out their skin.
I use Yorksheen and a stay in conditioner for humans..this is ok as it is sprayed directly on the hair and is not massaged into the skin

There are alot of great shampoo´s out there,its just a matter of findng one that suits your baby

BTW:It was my vet who told me NOT to use human shampoo on Lady or Jess.As a vet he told me that he´d had to treat very ugly cases of dryed out skin and bald patches over the years,and in yorkies,he´d seen dryed out,dull coats..all due to the use of human shampoos
