I nip out the inside corners of Zhoie's eyes to keep them for watering so and it makes it much easier to clean out the gobbies every morning. With the hair clear up on her tiny nose, I can't see her big beautiful eyes and I like to, lol.

I just use the tippy corner of my Peanut palm trimmers, works great.

If you want to use just scissors, most beauty supple stores carry the like rounded blunt end scissors. I have them, but I find it works better for me just to nip the hair out with my trimmers.
