Anyhow, they said surgery was an option. Recovery from surgery is a couple weeks. The other option is to sedate him, wrap it, and bring in for checks and rewraps frequently. Based on the fracture she said it has a good chance to heal on it's own. It may take 4 weeks. If it does not heal on it's own, then we can do surgery. |
If I were you, I would take him to an orthopedic surgeon for a second opinion. Fractures in a growth plate are nothing to mess with!
