Default My Yorkie's droopy ears

Max is nearly 11 months old now

His ears droop and stay flopped over. His left ear almost stands at attention when he perks up if he hears noises that get his attention.

I googled about getting the ears to stand up straight and one site said it's an iffy proposition to train the ears to stand up if your loved one is over 6 months old.

Anybody with success on doing this AFTER the puppy stage? And if so, what technique did you use? Seems like it amounts to shaving off a bunch of the hair on the backside of the ear as well as inside and taping the ear together in a fold inwardly halfway down the ear for about 3 days.

I actually don't have a problem with the floppy ears, he's definitely a cutie with them that way.
