Thank your son for the sacrifices he has made for his country. I know my family and I appreciate everything he has gone through. I know you must have missed your son as much as we missed ours. Safety is always a concern for parents.
I bet the week you spent with your son FLEW by and wasn't long enough. I know you must have had a good time!
I pray for your son's continued safety while overseas. My family and I will keep him in our prayers.
Our son is a Ranger in the Army. He has served 2 tours in Iraq and just got back to the states from a tour in Afghanistan. His daughter was born while he was in Iraq. His wife and daughter lived in Italy for a year while he was in Afghanistan. This was torture for G-pa and G-ma!! I'm so glad we all had Skype. We got to see the G-baby, and still do communicate this way. Such a sacrifice our military men and women make for us.
I want to say a personal thanks to all of those who serve our country. Thank you for helping make our country a safe place to live and for helping give us freedom.
May God bless you and keep you safe. |
Thanks for such a thoughtful post! I will keep your brave son in my prayers as well and thank him for his devotion to duty and patriotism. The Rangers are such an elite unit, often in harm's way. Glad he came home to be with family! You're right -- the week did fly by.
