I did notice however, you mentioned picking him up on the 24th. If you mean 24th of this month that would make him only 52 days old or approximately 7.5wks old and a bit. I was about to comment on the age as well.
To the OP, a good breeder would keep the puppy until 12 weeks as mentioned. Please discuss this with the breeder.
