Macy sleeps in her crate next to my bed. Sometimes she is so tired by bedtime she will nudge the crate door open and lay down without being asked! My fiance doesn't like her being on the bed period. But when he's gone (shhh..!) I let her sleep with me. She does seem more restless when she's in my bed. Even though we have a queen size bed, I am afraid I'll crush her, smother her, or she'll fall off and hurt herself because our bed is very high. So, 95% of the time, she sleeps peacefully in her crate, from about 10 PM to 6 AM!
