I did not have a flea problem for MONTHS.. but it was not worth if for me to ever use it again on them. I now split the dosage of the K9 Advantix and we do just fine. We first use a dose of capstar which kills any existing fleas and eggs.. and then do a dose of the K9 Advantix. (I have the breakdown for K9 Advantix, so I buy the larger tube to save money) This has worked for us. The comfortis is well worth it on my Lab and Giant Schnazuer, but I will NEVER again use it on my babies. That was a VERY scary time. ~ Carrie |
I'm sorry you had a scary experience! I was contemplating using Comfortis as it'd be nice to kill all-in-one but I hear mixed reviews. My vet just started selling it. I do have a bigger boy at 16lbs so maybe he would do alright with it. Right now he is on Iverhart Plus for heartworms and Frontline for fleas/ticks. Ticks are our main problem here in Maryland though.... so that's my #1 concern is killing those little suckers. I hate putting the stuff on his back, it makes his hair sooo nasty!
