We bought the liners but ended up returning them. I didn't think they were really needed. I just takes a little time for the leather to soften.
We never treated ours before wearing but I wish we would have. The inside is getting a bit dirty now. They should last a very long time and I wish we'd taken better care from the start.
I can't wait to see pictures of Jackson in his new Buddy Belt!
