The Pirates Cove is an awesome restaurant. I've heard that the Paula Deen place, The Lady and Sons, is good too (but you have to get in line early). I highly recommend you do one of the trolley tours around the squares so you can get an idea of where everything is and map your day out accordingly (you can get on and off the trolley at the different stops). Definitely visit some of the historic homes there.
I'll tell you what NOT to do. There is a bar on the wharf called Wet Willies. They have a drink there called the "attitude adjustment". My brother had told me to get one for my husband while we were there. I did, but he didn't care for it so we switched drinks (I was having a pina colada). It was a hot day and I was thirsty so I kind of gulped it down. Let's just say that my kids still give me a bad time about the time mom got "too happy" in Savannah.
