 My Experience with Comfortis
Hi There.. this is Carrie with Wild West Yorkies... I was told by a vet that I could split a larger dose among my babies... It did not go well! All of them ran fever, and had chills for about 2 1/2 days. I thought I was going to lose them! I will say... I did not have a flea problem for MONTHS.. but it was not worth if for me to ever use it again on them. I now split the dosage of the K9 Advantix and we do just fine. We first use a dose of capstar which kills any existing fleas and eggs.. and then do a dose of the K9 Advantix. (I have the breakdown for K9 Advantix, so I buy the larger tube to save money) This has worked for us. The comfortis is well worth it on my Lab and Giant Schnazuer, but I will NEVER again use it on my babies. That was a VERY scary time. ~ Carrie |
