Default I'm freaking out!

I'm scheduled to go for a root canal ( no big deal) and an apicoectomy ( big deal to me) in 3 hours. I've done enough research to know intellectually that the surgery will not be painful. The day or two afterward can hurt, but my endodontist has prescribed Vicodin and will send me home with ice packs. I've had several major surgeries and generally tolerate pain extremely well... Except when it's in my mouth.

I took Tallulah to Yorkie Camp this morning and she will be staying overnight because I don't think I will be able to give her the care she needs tonight.

If anybody else has had this API procedure, I need to hear that it's not that bad. And if it really was bad, please lie about it.
