Hi, I no suggestions sorry, but mind is doing the same thing. I have one of those frames for pee pads,and he still rips the pads up. I am glad to hear that they out grow that. Bailey used to dump his water out of bowl until I got bowls with rubber on it so it can not slide or dump it. Good luck if you find a solution i would love to know how to stop the pee pad thing.
