As one door closes another opens I just got called this morning to see if I would take in Elmo, he is one of the furbabies taken from the puppy mill in Lakeland. LDR is in the process of taking in some of them - they can only commit to as many as they have foster homes for - and they called me from the vets office asking if I would take in a tiny Yorkie named Elmo. I asked how tiny. 6lbs - which to me is not tiny LOL. I was going to wait a week before fostering another but I couldn't say "No" so Elmo is coming to me today.
I have no idea what issues or medical problems he has yet, I know they will be sending some meds with him, and they said to keep him where he won't have "nose to nose" contact with Beamer and Lil Bit for a while.
So, got the pen set up with a bed in it and a blanket.
