No one was born knowing how to whelp puppies. Everyone had to start with their first litter and even experienced breeders lose Dams and puppies.

I completely agree!! I was shocked by that post myself!!

The OP is obviously taking good care of her female! I have problems with people that try to 'avoid' the vet at all costs! That certainly isn't the case here!
