I am no breeder but from the research that I did when my dog was having false pregnancy was that the vet may be able to feel the pups at or around this time. Since you are going in next week you may find out then if she is. Other than that I know the sonogram can tell or you can wait till she is closer to being due and then have an xray which is great to have since it can tell you how many and if they will fit.

Some of the common signs in real pregnancy and false are swollen vulva, enlarged teats, and there may or may not be swelling in the abdomen. My girl had it all and she had no puppies. The vet said she sure looked like there was pups in there but never had any. Towards the last week or so you will be able to feel and see them move and then you know it is real.

Sorry I wasn't much help but I don't know of any other way to tell until she sees the vet and then they may still not be able to tell yet.
