Exactly! Totally agree. I can totally see why some would want a 4-5lb dog. Don't get me wrong, certain things would be a bit better. Clothing options are never as good for a 16lb boy, lol, things are a lot cheaper for a smaller dog... I'm thinking about buying a Buddy Belt harness and it's like $80 since he's a size 6. It'd be like, half that if he were smaller, LOL!! Things like that sometimes make me want a smaller dog. I can def. see the convenience.
People are always going to have issues, it's crazy to me. I really love German Shepherds and will have one again someday. There are a lot of breeders who are breeding for these MASSIVE Monster dogs!! That is not what a GSD is supposed to be... they are NOT Great Danes. Yet you will see some GSD people be like "Oh yeah mine is 150lbs!!"
so it happens in a lot of breeds. Pit Bulls too... they are not supposed to be a huge breed, if you see a true Pit Bull, they are pretty small but very muscular... so many people are breeding for these monster pitties, it's so sad what humans will do to dogs.
