My 15 or 16 year old IG had HW when I got him from a BYB. He had the immeticide treatment, I think two injections. He was a very unsocialized dog and I had to basically keep him crated or on a leash for a month after his treatment, but he recovered very well. He was two or three at the time and has been amazingly healthy since then. He's a pretty healhty old guy now.
