Just disgusting. How can you breed a trusting llittle Yorkie girl that small with all of the known health dangers for her and her tiny puppies - plus knowing the potential problems for anesthesia, medication, etc., should she or any of her tiny litter ever have to have surgery? Yorkies are extremely delicate at their standard size let alone anything under 4 lbs. I wonder how small is going to be too small with breeders like this? A dog that small can't even safely jump down off of the couch - and they all do it. Tibbe has carpeted steps to use to get on and off the couch and still when he gets excited he has bounded off the couch and scared me spitless and he's 5.3 lbs., muscled and hardy. I consistently remind him to use his "steppies" but when he is excited and I am not sitting right by him so I can stop him, he may forego the steps. Some of those little "teacups" are 2 1/2 lbs. When that little thing bounds off the couch, there are broken bones, dislocated joints and pain! But the people that purposely breed dogs like that just do not care, obviously, about what their actual lives are like. It is a shame that operations like this can't be banned from the face of the earth. |
