I keep Charlee in a long coat, and I did find that her fur was breaking a bit where the BB buckled. My friend's Silky terrier's coat broke down really short, and then her fur began to grow back in a darker colour. When I asked a BB representative about it at a show, he mentioned it can sometimes be a problem for certain dog breeds and certain coat types. It is a problem that can easily be fixed by wearing a t-shirt under the harness, or by keeping your dog in a short cut.

As I said, I don't want to dampen the enthusiasm for these harnesses because I do love so much about it...but thought I should mention it so you can try it for a while before buying more than one!!

Yea, Uni has breakage between her shoulder blades, and she itched before (from something else) and broke her hair off and it grew back darker. I thought it was just Uni having really fine hair, so I don't count that as a negative, her hair really is a lot finer than most. She rocks a mullet
