hey guys,
so i called the vet today, she said she wasnt concerned much with the color but more concerned about the consistancy of the stool.
i told her it was on and off diarrhea and yellow stool (bright) this morning it was firm ( i did give him pumpkin) but it the whole thing was yellow!!!
she said she wants to see it for herself to see what it could be, she doesnt believe it is parasites ( we tested his stool twice and found nothing) he is eating normally, not vomiting, playing. perfectly acting normal.
i am just concerned that it might be his pancreas or even his liver. but she said a dog his age, she doesnt think that would be something to be concerned about.
if this vet really wanted to give me a run for my money, she would tell me to get all these tests done and what not, but all she said i should do was to either bring him in for an exam or i can just bring his poop and have her look at it. she justs wants to see exactly what it looks like. i told her about the yellow color and how i thought maybe it might be a pancreatic enzyme defiecy.. she said usually taht color would be grey (i googled it, it also said it could be yellow..who knows though?)
he is on the raw diet.. been feeding him lamb. could it be that maybe his body just cant handle the raw diet? when i first started him on it, he handled it fine. (solid stools) then when i changed it over to duck..he just got diaarhea like crazy. even before that its been chronic (on and off diarrhea, some days its yellow, some days it not, some days its half diarrhea and half solid)
i treated both of my dogs with panacur. nothing changed.. lotus still has perfeclty normal looking stools.
snickers on the other hand..been having this for awhile. i am just so confused as to what it could be, talking to vet today didnt really solve my confusion either.
he is negative for all parasites.. took the most accurate stool sample for giardia. nothing.
must be the diet??
i am crossing my fingers that its the diet thats causing this?
