We waited untill my Daughter was 5 to get our puppy. He is now 11 lbs and has worked out to be a good family dog. After him I got a female and she is 6 lbs and wants nothing to do with children. Your children could be taught to be very careful around a yorkie but accidents happ-en also you will have neighbor children in your home and they havent been taught how to be with a small dog
good point Chachi, it's everyone else's kids I would be worried about.
