Not anymore than you can force a child to eat healthy...however it shouldn't stop you from continuing to offer 'premium' foods. Although I have to admit I did go through a period of time...when I was SICK of buying NEW expensive foods for her to put her nose up at!

BUT, I did find one that she will eat! So I'm just encouraging you to not give up...Maybe others have some picky eaters...and they can suggest a food you might be interested in trying.

It's also not unusual for a dog to get bored with their food....it's been suggested that we try different flavors in a particular brand...to give them a variety of flavors and nutrients. No single food provides all the nutrition they need.

I hear what you saying but mine are going on 6 and they have always eaten caesars and they are happy and healthy. They also get royal canin hard so its not the only thing they eat the caesars is a treat in the morning. Im not convinced that a premium food would be any healthier for them and yes Ive read reviews so I will continue to do whats worked in my household. My cats have always ate friskies and thats a grocery store food and they lived long lives also
