I feel like it's going to take a while for him to like or even tollerate a topknot if he has never had one before. Most start out wearing them and don't know anything different. It reminds me of my nephews....my sister would put hats on them since they were little and people would see them when they were like 2 years old and say "how do you get them to keep those hats on" and she would always say "you have to hat train them young"

Sure you can!! lol I adopted a 10 yr old female we call Honey....and the first time I put a top knot in her hair I could tell she wasn't used to having her hair up...much less even BRUSHED!! But after a week or so...she didn't mind it at all!!

Just KEEP doing it...and like others have said...give him a little treat...he'll eventually forget about it....or just simply tolerate it!
