Thanks for the response, I appreciate it. I enjoy working with Yorkies, especially with the puppies... they're so much easier to work with when the owners start getting them groomed young! Zorro was 6 months and in a hideous westie clip when we got him. I grew him out for about a year, but little by little I started clipping him down. When the last of his pretty black hair was gone, I gave up on keeping him longer and took him down to a #7 schnauzer. I love it.
I also dye his skirt occasionally, which is why it's slightly blue. For Halloween 2009, my son was Super Mario and I dyed Zorro green, put a felt saddle on his back, and spiked his hair with red gel into a mohawk... you guessed it, he was Yoshi!
I'll never dye his whole body again... poor guy was green for the next 6 months. |
