I was just looking through some paperwork and found the following on a helpful hints list that the clinic gave me after Gabby's surgery:

"You have allowed us to provide the spinal cord with a happier environment in which healing will hopefully occur. A tincture of time and lots of tender loving care are needed to see how much recovery your pet obtains. Remember that the majority of improvement occurs in the first 4-8 weeks following spinal surgery, but your pet really has 6-12 months to show all the improvement possible from this spinal cord injury."

Gabby is trying to stand on her own. She can't but I see her trying to pick her back end up. Just trying so hard to keep the faith. One thing I do know....she does know when she has to go to the bathroom. She starts barking!
